15 Dec Photo Recap – UFL Fellows Happy Hour

On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, our Urban Futures Lab Fellows hosted a “Happy Hour” event where they reflected on their first year and shared their ambitions and dreams for the future.

Fellows created a six-word story, an aspirational job description honing in on the type of work they want to do, and a personal change agent statement sharing how they want to make an impact on the future. Fellows presented their body of work, fielded comments and questions, and reconnected to folks who had attended earlier Supper Clubs or participated in other ways in the Fellows’ first year.

Over Mediterranean inspired food, sparkling lemonade, and sangria, Fellows and guests mingled. Spirited conversations about the Fellows’ work flourished. As we dove deeper into the night, bonds were created and the advice from guests opened the Fellows’ eyes to the importance of not only owning their expertise, but also to voicing their aspirations in public.
