18 Apr Greetings from East L.A. 2019 Open Houses!
After a year of learning urban planning and transportation safety concepts, taking to the streets to conduct walk audits, and surveying their classmates for their observations on conditions on five East L.A. corridors, Ms. Tenorio’s 11th grade class will be showcasing their proposed enhancements to five East L.A. streets at two open houses next week. We hope you’ll join us as they present recommendations and share observations, all in the context of L.A. County’s Vision Zero Action Plan.
2018-2019 Project Partners include Renaissance, L.A. County Public Works, Public Matters and the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy.
“Greetings from East L.A.” is an art, design, and urban planning project with 11th-grade students at the East Los Angeles Renaissance Academy at Esteban E. Torres High School. Led by Public Matters, the project explores, documents and interprets the value that the students assign to people and places in East L.A. while responding to representation and equity.
